Tachyon XC Helmet Cams in the middle of the intense action at the world’s largest paintball event; Oklahoma D-Day 2010 . This video focuses on the Omaha Beach Scenario, which had American forces landing on the beach and attempting to rush up the cliff to rout the entrenched German forces. Well, this worked…in 1944. But in 2010, the Germans held their ground.
The prototype Tachyon XC HD camera was used for the main filming, and Tachyon XC Micro and XC cameras, mounted on masks and helmets, were used to film the video that you can see in the smaller windows.
Tachyon would like to thank the organizers of D-Day 2010, as well as the thousands of players who made it such a successful event.

“The Tachyon XC Micro helmet cam is designed to capture any outdoor adventure. It weighs only four ounces, and shoots 30 frames per second of high-quality digital video, or can be set to time-lapse photography mode.
Waterproof to 100 feet, the Helmet Cam uses a 90-degree wide-angle lens with surprising clarity. And it couldn’t be easier to use.
ScubaLab has never had so much fun using a compact camera that’s simple to operate, shoots high quality video, and yet is so easy on the wallet.”
When you think paintball. Think Tachyon XC. There is no better camera for capturing the paint-splattering action that a couple thousand players can get up to in a good historic scenario, such as the ones we filmet at Oklahoma D-Day 2010.
Tachyon was there and we shot a LOT of footage. And we would like to thank our Tachyon XC helmet cam users at the event for giving us a lot more. Their footage will be edited in with ours to make a series of great videos covering several days of battle in Oklahoma.
Check out our first video above, that covers the Bridges and Bangalores Scenarion from day 2 of the event.
Next up: Omaha Beach!
