Tachyon XC Micro Underwater Video Camera Dives to New Depths

(May 20, 2010) Tachyon™, Inc. –The Tachyon XC Micro Dive Camera shows off its Dive Lock feature, designed especially for divers, that allows them to easily record their deep diving footage, both hands free and worry free up to 100 ft (30 meters)(over 4 ATM).

In addition to Tachyon XC’s patented shockproof system, the Tachyon XC Micro’s innovative, patent-pending locking switch is located inside the camera’s waterproof case.  When the switch is locked, the watertight door closed, and the record button pushed, the camera will remain on and recording no matter what water pressure the camera is placed under.  With a battery life of four hours and a 16GB micro SDHC card, divers can record four hours of hands-free, superior-quality underwater video.

The Tachyon XC Micro Dive Cam’s 90 degree wide-angle lens and high-dynamic light sensor records crystal clear underwater footage, making it a valuable tool for amateur divers and professionals alike. Tachyon XC Micro users include the US Navy SEALS, scuba divers, free divers, and professional fire and rescue dive teams. The Isle of Capri Fire and Rescue dive team recently used the Tachyon XC Micro to survey the seafloor in preparation for sinking a retired Navy Frigate, the USS George Philip.  The ship will be sunk off the coast of Florida, in the Gulf of Mexico, in the hopes of establishing a new reef.

This will be the largest ship of its size sunk in the Gulf,” said Keith Perry, a Lieutenant and diver for Isle of Capri Fire and Rescue. “Normally, ships of this size are sunk in the (Florida) Keys.  We surveyed the seafloor 30 miles out and 75’ deep. We shot video with the Tachyon XC Micro to show the proper authorities that the flat, sandy seafloor will allow adequate clearance for large ships and provide a safe spot for recreational divers and fisherman.”

Isle of Capri Fire and rescue using the Tachyon XC Micro to survey the ocean floor:

With a tiny 3.7×1.4×1.5” profile and weighing only 4oz, the Tachyon XC Micro dive camera can easily be mounted to  a diving mask with the included Universal Mount that slips easily over a goggle strap.  This dive cam is already waterproof and does not require a bulky external case. The Tachyon XC Micro needs no DVR or software; it records on a MicroSDHC card (up to 32GB) and is plug-and-play with both PC and Mac®. The Tachyon XC Micro camera can be purchased at  http://www.tachyoninc.com

New York in 3D and New York in the Shadows

If you haven’t seen two of our new videos that where filmed with t he 2010 Tachyon XC and the XC 3D technology you are in for a real treat.  The 3D video has been featured on some of the largest Gadget blogs and websites in the world in last week raking in thousands of views.  You will need a pair of anaglyph 3D glasses to view the video, red lens on the right side and blue lens on the right side.  You can purchase a set of six Tachyon XC 3D glasses from our website for $4.99.  I think you are going to love this video, pay attention to figures who move close to the camera and watch the details ie; the black mini-van that pulls into the screen on the right side, the photographer in Times Square in the blue shirt, the smoking man towards the end of the video.  These images will give you a great feel of depth in 3D, its pretty incredible.  Here is the video!

This next video is also shot in New York and aptly titled “Shadow of New York” for a great reason. We purposely shot this footage at night and in areas where the lighting is very poor, in order to show you how amazing our new light sensor is! The 2010 Tachyon XC films brilliantly indoors and at night time. You will see how incredible the footage is inside St. Patricks Cathedral, Grand Central Station, Times Square at night and The Waldorf Astoria Hotel. Check it out.

pop resellersLewisville, TX  June 1, 2009 -Tachyon, Inc. opens doors to International Resellers for the Tachyon XC Helmet Camera.

We at Tachyon, Inc., have created the best helmet camera in the world, and back it up with the best customer service in our industry.   Customer service, teamed with a world-class marketing strategy, has launched the Tachyon XC to the forefront of the helmet camera industry.  We have proven ourselves as a world-class brand by selling at a highly successful rate only through our website.  But along with this success, we have noticed some disadvantages that our international customers face when dealing with online purchases.  These include shipping time, customs delays, duty fees and other unforeseen issues.  Yet despite all of these hassles, a large percentage of our business comes from enthusiast’s outside of the USA.  And since Tachyon, Inc. prides itself as a company that goes to great lengths to please its customer base, we have decided to open our doors to international resellers.

This is why, at this time, Tachyon, Inc. is looking for existing retail shops or web retailers outside of the USA who are interested in reselling the Tachyon XC Helmet Camera.  www.tachyoninc.com/resellers.html

Tachyon, Inc. was established in November 2008 as a consumer electronics manufacturer in Lewisville, Texas.  In November of 2008, Tachyon Inc. released  the Tachyon XC helmet camera.  In a short span of seven months, the Tachyon XC has been sold and shipped to over 100 countries across the globe as well as building the reputation as the one of the top helmet cameras in the world.   The XC is the first Helmet Camera to use SDHC cards above 4GB, and is the only helmet camera in the world that can use up to a 32GB SDHC card.  The camera delivers up to 30 FPS of video, is shockproof and waterproof up to 28 feet, protecting the camera from adverse elements.  Its patented battery cartridge prevents the camera from shutting off in rough terrain.

Tachyon, Inc. boasts of its internationally sponsored athletes including the Subaru Rally Team Spain and other athletes from countries around the globe:  USA, Europe, Mexico, The Middle East and Japan.  Here are a few quotes from members of our Professional Team Tachyon XC:

“ I wrecked in France at 80 MPH on a wet track, the cam took a direct hit as I skid across 200 meters.  The XC functioned properly in my second race with no issues what-so-ever after the fall! ”  Rich DeRousse – Team Tachyon XC Pro Rider – Germany

“I put the Tachyon XC through a tail wind at 80 MPH and the Camera held strong the whole time with high pressure water pounding it.  ”  Brandon Kennedy – Team Tachyon XC Pro Driver – USA – (2008 Youngest Hall of Champions Inductee)

“ I’ve taken the XC through mud, dirt, and snow under difficult conditions and rough terrain.  Not once has the XC ever lost power, it truly is shockproof.”  Kyle Mullins – Team Tachyon Pro Rider- USA
