The Full-Size GunCam® Classic has been the camera of choice for the world’s best shooters to the C-Class shooters of the USPSA, IPSC and IDPA to document their matches and to improve their skills. It records in 1080p with excellent sound recording and light sensitivity.  Its built-in rechargeable Lithium battery, allows shooters to record 2.5 hours per charge. The GunCam® Classic can make use of up to 256GB micro cards (sold separately). The software, which uses DCIM, easily imports to iOS devices. Shooter can choose between a manual recording mode that allows them to stop recording when they want, or a Match Mode that automatically stops the recording after 2 minutes, letting them keep their mind on the shooting and enabling easier editing of videos.

The 2021 GunCam® mini is a new family member, originally set to launch at the IPSC Handgun World Shoot this November. It uses identical hardware and software to the legendary camera, but is just half the size and weight. It comes in at just 1.5 oz (42.5 grams) for the camera and the cap mount combined. It is so small that, the shooter may even mount under the bill of the cap, to record from the most realistic forehead view, without blocking the shooter’s sight. The mini does not have the luxury of recording as long as the original GunCam, but with the 2 minutes auto-stop option, it can record over twenty stages per charge, which is more than enough for any shooting event.

The 2021 GunCam® mini can make use of up to 256GB micro cards (sold separately). The package includes a newly-designed Cap Mount with mounting screw, a charging and upload cable, and a Rain/Dust-proof cover with glass lens cover for excellent protection from the elements while ensuring clear video.

The software, which uses DCIM, easily exports files to iOS devices. You may use an optional adapter to watch your video on Android devices, or your can Plug & Play with PC’s and Mac’s. Supported by all major video players and editing software packages.

Tachyon Inc., Introduces the 2020 GunCam for Clays & Hunting, with New App for iOS & Android Devices

• A new Tachyon App that allows shooters to connect their devices, via the camera’s wifi, allows users to select zoom levels, reticle style. They can live-stream, record, and immediately playback their video files while in the field.

• Users will have a choice of four reticle styles or no reticle. They may choose the one that best suits their need or the one that is most visible in their shooting environment. The chosen reticles may then be easily calibrated with cursors on the user’s mobile device to zero-in the gun’s point of aim.

• GunCam® is plug-and-Play to Macs and PCs. For best results use the VLC Media Player for pausing, playback in slow motion, and zooming. Users can playback on their big-screen TVs through an HDMI cable.

• GunCam® users will also be able to choose from between the already very tight-view lens and three other levels of digital zoom for the most distant shots.

• Playback speed inside the App’s video player can be slowed to 10%, 20%, or 30%, which are the ideal settings for checking and adjusting your shooting while in the field.

• While recording without the Wi-Fi connection, users may tap the power button to pause recording, and tap again to start recording again. This saves shooters not only battery power, but many minutes of wasted video that they would have to sort through to find their shots. With the GunCam there is no need to close the gun hard to start recording.

• GunCam® may use up to 256GB of memory cards for saving up to 24 hours of video. (Memory cards are sold separately). The built-in Lithium rechargeable battery will give a solid 2.5 hours of recording on a full charge. It can also be continuously charged from a power bank, enabling a full day of recording hunting video.

• GunCam® records in 1080p at 60 frames per second for the smoothest video playback, or in Quad HD at 30 frames per second. The sound quality is always top-notch.

New Crosshairs:
These new crosshairs improve the visibility against the variety of backgrounds most commonly encountered when shooting.

The crosshairs stand out well against the bright sky, helping students to know how well they are leading their targets.

The darker and more difficult background of sporting clays is also no problem with the new two-color crosshairs.

New Auto-Shutoff Feature
With our new auto-shutoff feature, you will never have to worry if you have accidentally turned off your camera when you thought that you were turning it on. Now you just turn it on before you begin shooting your station and it will automatically shut off 30 seconds later.

Because you have better things to think about than what your camera is doing.

There is no need to snap your gun closed or open with the correct force or to move it with the correct speed and acceleration.

Another bonus is that your file sizes will all be of consistent size and length, making it very easy to search out every station for later viewing and critique.

If you prefer to shut off your camera manually, we still support that option, It is all controlled by a single switch.

Crosshair Alignment
As before, there is no need for users to manually adjust the crosshairs. When you mount your camera to your gun, the mechanical design of the camera will automatically align it correctly.

Tachyon GunCam offers its congratulations to the University of Maryland Shotgun Sports Team for its success at the just completed ACUI Collegiate Clay Target Championships. They took 1st Place for Females in the Sporting Clays Invitational.

This team is the very first to use our GunCam for Clays in their training.

Tachyon GunCam for Clays mounts easily and securely beneath the barrel of your gun. It is light, but rugged, and invisible from the shooter’s point of view.

Our software imposes crosshairs in the center of the Full-HD 1080p video, showing you where your gun is pointed. We mechanically designed the camera’s casing so that when mounted it will consistently point to the same spot, ensuring that videos of your shooting will be will be an accurate learning tool.

Note that the GunCam for Clays will not have the same perfection of accuracy that is required with a sniper rifle and scope, but it will be accurate enough for shotgun work and be consistent.
